IS MEN IS SUPERIOR THEN WOMEN IN ISLAM?

Praise be to Allah:

There are Many Ignorant Muslims men think that men is superior then women in Islam and they quote the qur’an verse. From Surah Baq’rah.

“but men have a degree (of advantage) over them”
[Al-Qur’an ch 2 Verse 228]

Arabic: Wa Lilrrijāli `Alayhinna Darajatun

“Men are the protectors and maintainers of women,”
[AL-Qur’an ch 4 Verse 34]

Arabic: Ar-Rijālu Qawwāmūna

When Allah says that men has a one degree of higher in responsibility not in superiority and The Arabic world use in Surah Nisa Ch 4 verse 34 is “Qawwāmūna” Its derive from “Eqama” means “to stand” or “Responsibility” and that responsibility is financial one. But if you Analysis as whole Men and Women are Equal In Islam.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them”
[Al-Qur’an ch 2 Verse 228]

Means Men and Women are equal in Islam, There is no such concept of Men is superior then Women In Islam.

Allah says in the Qur’an 

“And Allah has made for you mates (and companions) of your own nature”
[Al-Qur’an Ch 16 Verse 72]

It means men and women are equal In Islam. Women are not different then Men and Men are not different then Women. Men and women both are Equal as whole. In one place Allah give more degree of higher to Men over Women in other place Allah give more degree of higher to Women over men etc.. If you analysis as whole men and women are equal. And Made the Men protector of Women.

Islam uplifted the Women status, protect them, give right to them and give equal right to them and showed the way of life that she can life her life with dignity in society.
